What we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it. Written in plain English first, with the legal version underneath if you need it.
What we collect
When you visit our site, we record anonymous traffic counts (which page, when, from where) via Plausible.io. When you contact us, fill in a form, or buy something, you give us your name, email, and — for purchases — billing details. We don’t buy or rent data from anyone.
Why we collect it
To send you what you asked for. To know which posts are read enough to keep writing. To deliver the services you paid for, including invoicing and tax compliance. We don’t profile you, retarget you, or build a "user model" of you.
Cookies
Three kinds: necessary (login, cart, security), analytics (anonymous Plausible counts), and marketing (one cookie that remembers if you booked a call so we don’t nag you). You can opt out of analytics and marketing in the banner; necessary cookies you can’t opt out of because the site stops working without them.
How we store and protect it
Encrypted at rest and in transit. Stored on tier-3 US data centers. Access is restricted to the engineers who need it. We don’t store full credit-card numbers; payments are tokenized through Stripe.
Sharing & subprocessors
We use Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), Plausible (analytics), Calendly (booking), Slack (internal). We don’t share your data with anyone else, including for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we have on you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to correct it — at privacy@themesupport.net. We respond inside 30 days, usually much faster.
Children
We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think we have, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we email everyone with an active account. Small wording updates we just publish here with a new effective date.
